So if any one got declined initially, highly recommended trying again if they send you this email. Got instantly approved after they linked my bank account to prove my income.

Really surprised honestly... No hard inquiry

No baddies,

All scores over 700,

Income to debt is at 20%

Congratulations on your X1 recon approval! And it may not be a hard inquiry yet but plenty of reports of people seeing X1 do a HP. It might not have popped up yet but it might in the future. Nice limit btw @Anonymous

I read somewhere that X1 requires a Plaid link to your bank account where income is deposited. Is that accurate?

yes they do use Plaid to verify

i had an issue getting a good CL since i don't deposit all my paycheck to just one checking acct - so they offered me a limit that i didnt want to accept ($5k)

i just got an email about a Class Action Suit against Plaid for misusing the information when they connect to your bank acct - so that is something for people to keep in mind for future apps

and split my money and it worked.

Congrats!

I thought about this card (I'm a sucker for a metal card), but I don't want my bank account linked (I wouldn't give X1 my tax returns either to be honest)... they're just not a company I'd feel comfortable giving that to. Limits like this make me feel I should reconsider that.

I wonder if this has something to do with locked reports. I also wonder if they repull if you reapply.

OP: Would be interesting to see what happens - HP or not after acceptance.

When I applied in October last year there was only a SP - no HP even after acceptance but that was due to the "early beta private invite" link.

After they opened up to the masses, I have been seeing HP data on X1 apps....
