Approved for Alaska Airlines Visa

This one is like the summit of the mountain for me, despite it not being the fanciest card in the world. I started posting on here in August-2019 just at the very beginning of my credit journey and then I was hoping to even get the attention of Bank of America and Alaska Airlines for their credit card. Now, years later, I get emails and mailers from them pretty regularly, but with the pandemic, not having traveled since before that all started, and just apping for and getting other goal/target cards, I had pretty much let my Alaska Airlines crush go dormant.

Then this morning those marketing folks finally got me. I got an email offer for not only 60,000 bonus miles for $3K in spend in the first 90 days, something I can easily do by making it my go-to card for a couple months, but a 12-month 0% APR introductory offer. I'm all about those 0% intro APRs and they hadn't offered me one yet. I clicked the link, filled out the app and was saying to myself as the little circle spun "You're not going to get it. It's ok. You just got two cards less than a week ago. You can get this later. No big deal." But then I was approved! It's only for $3K but my total limits on my other BofA cards are over $30K so I'm sure they could move my balances if I really needed it for an upcoming trip. This has been my goal card forever. I'm super excited about the companion fare, the free checked bag, the half off lounge access and just having what was always a bit of a status card for me growing up in actual Anchorage, AK. Now the only problem is actually planning a trip and entrusting my dogs to a family member while I travel. That might be the most stressful part.

Congratulations on the BofA AS Airlines Visa. I have this card and it's great. It's been rumored for a long time that this is one of the hardest cards you can get from BofA, don't know the reasoning, but it is.

Congratulations. I'm so jealous of successfull BofA Alaska relationships. I had the card for 4 short months. Had fraudulent Disney+ charges twice a month for all 4 months. They would cancel and send me a new card but the charges would show up and they/Disney couldn't/wouldn't stop them. I had such plans for me and this card...I hope you have a successful relationship with your shiny new card!
