Last Thursday, I logged into AmEx to pay a bill and they gave me an offer on the Gold card that I couldn't refuse... 90K SUB after spending $4K in 6 months. I verified the SUB with via chat just to make sure I wasn't in popup jail before applying. Here are the relevant data points:

Income: $136.4K

Total accounts: 20

Total CL: $222.5K

FICO 8 on all 3 bureaus are within a few points of 800

Inquiries in past 24 months: 7 EX, 3 EQ, 10 TU

New accounts: 12/24, 4/12, 2/6.

I was a bit shocked by that as I've had the Gold before and fully expected the pop-up, which is why I contacted customer service to make sure. It seemed too good to be true!

I think the standard SUB right now is 60K, and I nearly pulled the trigger at 75K but didn't have any travel plans in mind. This is what they're showing right now:
