Amazon auto-CLI windfall (5k to 25k)

Wow.

They're still passing these out.

I have been aware of all the auto-CLI for the Chase Amazon Visa Signature going around... but my card didn't hit a year old until January.

Chase likes to give me mediocre limits when I opened cards with them last year (6k Amazon [ended up moving 1k to the CSP], 5k CSP, 3k Ink Cash), and since it's a hard pull to request a higher limit, I've been keeping my fingers crossed they'd toss some my way as my score has climbed and those cards aged a bit with consistent usage.

Got the email at 5:03pm yesterday just as I was packing up to leave work. Opened it, and at first thought it might be a phishing email... 5k to 25k is a massive jump for an auto! Checked my app, sure enough 25k.

Happy camper! Now, if the other two get some love after they hit 1 year (especially since I want to upgrade the CSP to the CSR and it needs a higher limit for that)...

Congratulations on your Chase auto-CLI! If you don't receive an auto-CLI on your CSP when you are ready to upgrade to CSR, you can reallocate $4K from your Amazon Visa to your CSP, then upgrade.

I came to the credit card boards just for this. I have had Amazon Visa for years and it sat at 1.1k. I use it sparingly....mainly to utilize their 0% interest promotions. I logged into my Chase account the other day and noticed it jumped from 1.1k to 12.8k. I was shocked to say the least.

I wonder what's up with them and all of the recent CLI's?

Over the summer Jeff Bezos yelled at Chase over Amazon CCs. They almost went to another bank, but then they kissed and made up! In result of this Chase agreed to be nicer with CLIs and better approval rate! 😎
