First ever AMEX APPROVED (Delta Gold)

Ok I REALLY have to stay in the garden this time. SERIOUSLY. Two years.

I know the $1000 limit means I just edged into the approval so I've got more work to do on my rebuild

This gives me some hope as i have the same EX FICO 8 score, i was thinking of the Cash Magnet but crossing my fingers for the Charles Schwab Investor Card, no AF 1.5% back.

Good luck! My profile is a hot mess honestly. Still some paid charge offs, and late pmts showing from a few years ago. I'm sure you'll be fine lol

Thank you! I never expected to be approved for an Amex in my lifetime so I actually need to read up on how they operate (CLIs, PC, etc) Off to research haha

Try the 3x CLI after 61 days, if it doesnt happen wait another 90 days. Worst case might have to wait for the 6 month mark.

Congrats! Once you're in with Amex it's usuaully pretty easy to expand your membership with them, assuming you pay on time. They put a lot of emphasis on your history with them.

Actually 6 months isn't "worst case" it's the smart thing to do. While yes you "can" request at 61 day, but with a new card and it being his first one with AmEx it's always "better" to wait 6 months to request your first CLI. Improves approval chances as being a brand new AmEx card member they are going to want to see a usage and PIF payment pattern. @Mdowning30 I know you're also trying to get your foot in the door with your first AmEx card as well.
