CLI roundup for DPs (including Venmo CLI DPs)

Over the last month or two, I've been skulking around the edges of my CC portfolio, trying to sneak in some CLIs without incurring HPs. Here are the results:

1. WF Active Cash: Opened 1 year ago. SL was $22K, requested increase to $30K, they said that would have to go to underwriting and perhaps cause an HP, offered instant increase to $25K without HP which I accepted. You have to call in; there is no online CLI functionality.

2. Barclays Red Aviator: Opened 9 months ago. SL $7.5K, increased upon request at the 6-month mark to $8.5K with HP, auto-CLI to $11K at the 9-month mark. Perhaps related to the fact that I ran up $12K of spend in the last 3 months after $12K total in the 9 months before that. Barclays is always an HP if you request a CLI.

3. Venmo Signature: Opened (accidentally) 6 months ago. SL was $5K, requested $10K through the app, granted instantly. I haven't used the card much since getting it, maybe $500 total, so they don't seem to care about usage. Synchrony does not do HPs for CLIs.

4. Amex BCP: Opened 6 months ago. SL was $15K, requested increase to $30K, denied because "You have a bankruptcy on your record." I've put about $15K of usage on the card in 6 months but that didn't seem to help. No HP. Amex generally does not do HPs for CLIs.

5. Apple: Opened 1 year ago. SL was $4K, gradually increased to $8.75K after applying for CLI every 3 months with mixed results. Just applied again and was denied because of low usage. Apple does not do HPs for CLIs.

6. Discover: Opened 3 years ago. SL was $5K. Over the years, with a lot of pushing, I received 2 CLIs of $2.5K each getting me to $10K, where I've been stuck for a while. Just applied again and was denied because of low usage. Discover does not do HPs for CLIs.

7. PenFed Platinum Rewards: Opened 6 months ago. SL was $7.5K. Undecided on whether to request CLI or not since there has been conflicting information here about their HP/SP policies.

FWIW, I have a 5-year-old bankruptcy on my record, I PIF all cards every month before the due date and often before the statement date, and my scores have been steady around 700 for over a year.

No need for congrats as I've posted (and been congratulated for) all these individually, but hope these will be good DPs for some.

Six months ago I accidentally got a Venmo CC that I didn't want. At a $5K SL, I considered it a waste of an HP. I recently discovered that Synchrony doesn't HP for CLI requests, so I asked for a CLI to $10K through the app and was approved immediately! I liked the responsiveness and might even start using the card. I've probably charged less than $500 total since I've had it.
