Target Approval!

I got approved for a Target Card with a $1.5k starting limit! I have applied and been denied with Target twice over the past several years so I'm so excited and feel good about that SL for a store card.

I am definitely in the garden now for at least a year, possibly two as this past month was a bit of a spree but I'm very excited

Congratulations. $1500 is a very good SL on the Target Redcard.

I do have too many cards for most people but the majority are several years old. My utilization is around 20% but would be lower if I only counted my retail cards. I think I'm doing okay 😊

You have many low limit store cards that are taking up valuable space in your card portfolio, if you ever plan on getting a Chase card it looks like you're over 5/24. If that matters at all, most of us would say it's better to have bank/credit union cards than a bunch of store cards.

Yea, If @hellohum is planning on a Chase card, then said user will find out if Chase's infamous 5/24 applies. Note: there have been many posts of Chase approvals with >5/24....

It seems like your chiding the OP for having "too many" store cards which he/she may actually have (or had) a need for...

I have a Chase card and don't plan to get another. I'm aware of the 5/24. It seems like everyone here has different credit cards that work for them. I'm handling mine well, working toward cli and certainly don't see a $1.5k Target approval as a low limit card taking up space.

I don't need the unsolicited advice when I'm obviously proud of and happy with the decision I just made. Thanks.
