Bank of Americard CLI x10!!!

Everyday I sign on and I see CreditAddict telling people "just go for it" and "put the highest amount you feel like" when it comes to applying for cli's. I always think, 'that guy is insane'. Well that guy is very very very right! I signed on today in hopes to bump my AMERICARD from 2k to atleast 10k to match my other cards. With his words in mind, I put 20k in the "increase to" box figuring they would counter at 10k. I submit and see the dreaded 7-10 day. I immediately call the backdoor "credit analyst" line and they put me on hold for all of 20 seconds... come back and approve me for the full 20k!!!!! Unreal!!!!

A big thank you to all on this board! And a huge thank you today for CreditAddict's insane approach to credit limits

PS - The only other card I have with a 4digit limit is Chase Slate, think I should req 20k? No HP's on my account in the last year until this BOFA hits.... How are they to deal with? I've never ever had to call them. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

They only asked what for. I told them a balance transfer(not so)... Poof 20 K.

Any recommendation on the slate card? Same approach? Am I pushing it lol?

Wow, maybe I should have ask for 30k instead of 20k Then again, it probably won't be a SP.

How old is the Slate and CSP? I would let BoA report $20k before requesting from Chase if it's your highest limit.

How old is the Slate and CSP? I would let BoA report $20k before requesting from Chase if it's your highest limit.

Yup. Chase pretty much plays catch-up. They will match but never lead.
