Approved for Delta Skymiles Gold Amex!

Hey Guys!

Wow I haven't been in here in a while. I have been in the garden for while and decided to poke around on what I could apply for next. I have more than enough Mastercards and Visa's (Navy Federal Flasghip, Cash Rewards, and Platinum, eBay Extras MasterCard, Merrick Double your line, and a couple others) I have a discover Chrome and thought maybe I should checkout the Amex Pre Qualify.

I have always shyed away from Amex since not ever accepts it but figured why not. The pre approval tool came back with all the Delta Skymiles cards, gold, platinum, and Reserve. The one turn off was that they have annual fees. I am so not used to that, except on my Flagship rewards with NFCU and that's only $49 annually. It more than pays for itself. The reserve showed a whopping $500 AF, the platinum showed $250 and the gold showed $0 first year and $99 after. Of course this drew me to the gold! I personally am a JetBlue girl but my friends swear Delta is life so I thought why not give it a go. My welcome offer is 75,000 miles if I spend $2,000 within the first three months. I know that's totally doable! Plus everyone tells me how amazing it is to be an Amex member so I look forward to all the great things. Do anyone of you have experience with them and their rewards? I'm looking forward to growing with them! Just excited on the new approval. It's been a while since I app'd!

Congratulations @Isha82 . I don't think Delta is life but they are my go-to airline. Gold is a really good option despite the annual fee if you fly Delta even a couple of times. The free checked bag perk pays the annual fee many times over if you travel in a group on the same itinarary. The points earnings are ok, too. If you end up not liking the card but don't want to close it, there is a downgrade path to the no-annual fee Blue.

Nice choice! I picked up the Delta Platinum a while back. The rewards are nice and you'll get those points in your account pretty quick after you hit the SUB. If you ever decide to leave United, you can use this card to "spend" your way up the Status with Delta...though it takes a bit..it's nice that you've got that option.
