Finally got credit cards again...

Long story short, I settled a bunch of credit card accounts for less than owed 7 months ago. Capital One I settled on October 2021 for 50% , I just now got approved for Cap One platinum with $3k limit. Approved for Amex and Discover also, each with decent limits, although I didn't burn these. Suprisingly didn't have to wait too long, thought I might have to wait a little bit longer. So maybe some of you don't need to go the secure card route and see if you can get approved too.

Congratulations @Back4more! I agree with @CreditAggie that $3K is a high SL for the C1 Platinum card. At that limit I'm surprised they didn't preapprove you for a Quicksilver or SavorOne, but I'm sure they have their reasons. And a win is a win!

Edit: I just realized you said you had settled with them, so that might be the reason. They do seem to be a more forgiving bank than a lot of others (like Chase or Amex). And you're right - when it comes to rebuilding, it can be very rewarding not to go the secured card route if you can avoid it.
