Paypal Mastercard Approval $12k & 2 CLI's

My Synchrony exposure was sitting at $25,500, so figured there was some wiggle room to squeeze in another card, why not?...

I must've received 3 separate emails in last month promoting the revamped paypal mc cashback structure just pushing me to open the app & hit that apply button. So before I applied for a new account I decided to shoot for a few CLIs:

Sync MC - $3,500 -> $7,000

CapOne VentureOne $3,000 -> $3,300 (cap1 emailed me about a month ago with a 0%apr/purchases offer until March '23. I spent about $800 so far & made about $250 of early payments down on those purchases.) This card has been bucketed at $3k for years

Paypal Mastercard $12K instant approval, temp 4k limit until card arrives (TU only pulled, score 700-725, 7 inquiries)

How long did you have the Synchrony MC before asking for the CLI? Its strange how Synchrony does things diffently for every card. If they would give you 12k on a new card, you would think they would have given you at least the same on an existing card that they had history as well with.

that's pretty common among several different issuers even the major players. For example, DW had 2 Citi accounts for nearly 3 years, a Citi Diamond w/ $2,500 limit & also Citi Rewards+ card w/ $2,000 limit....

Citi never granted a limit increase on these accounts for her but she later applied for Citi AA MileUp card after receiving a mailer, she was approved $10,000 SL on the new Citi account.

Sorry failed to answer your direct question... I opened the account July 2021 so just shy of my 1 year anniversary. First time asking for CLI.

Interesting, me same, fixed apr mailer for mileup. Will I get at least 5k sl? This complicates my planned app order next wk..lol(originally Bilt, Aviator then mileup)
