B of A Customized Cash

Time to chain myself to the garden. After being approved for the Alaska Air Visa Sig over the weekend I was scrolling the forum to learn more about B of A. Saw that they tend to use the same hard pull for applications within 30 days and decided to go for one more. Sub is $200 for 1k spend. Approved for 2k and no new hard pull notification so it looks like they used the previous pull. 705 Ex. 0 new cards reporting in the last 6 months. 6 inquiries and new cards in the last year. Looking forward to growing my cards with B of A.

If you find you have large spend across multiple categories should look into the Suzy komen card. That was the reason I picked up the us pride card. As for that alaska card hope you timed it right when it comes to that companion pass

Thanks for this info and as soon as I read this, I tried it myself.

This is an accurate statement, that BofA is using the same credit report that they pulled so long in 30 days. I got an approval for $23k (after a manual review) for Alaska VS on 07/05 and after reading this, I applied for the B of A customized reward as well. Also got approved for another $23k this time is instant approval. EX 780, INQ 10/12 and 28/24. I didn't see any new hard pull in my EX.

I am going to cancel some of my unused cards. I don't want the risk of having too many cards to manage.

That's awesome, congrats! Yeah I feel you on the unused cards. Even though I started my rebuild at the end of last year I wanted to be very careful about what cards I chose so they are ones that I would actually use and want to keep after the rebuild. The only one I regret is the Venmo which was supposed to show me the limit before I could choose to accept it and instead it auto approved me for $250 other than that I am very happy with how it has been going.

It happened to me as well. I got a notification for the pre-approval. Didn't know how much I would get but after approval, it gave me $1500. Then I called them to cancel it since I don't actually need it.
