American Express Delta Gold Approval!!

I need to be picked up from the FLOOR!! I was just approved for Amex Delta Gold! I went through the screen asking to check for offers and the delta gold popped up as "pre-qualified." After about five years of applying, I decided to not press so much and on THIS DAY...WHAMO! I already had about 12 inqs., but since it was the first time I had actually gotten SOMETHING OTHER THAN THE "Sorry..at this time, there are no offers for you..." message, I decided to go for it. CRAZY! I actually applied to Amex for Platinum and BCP in April of this same year and was denied for both (I did go on a mini-spree and was approved for three cards with low limits at that time). I hadn't applied for anything since that time and decided to pull the trigger! Glad I did! The limit is only $1K. HOWEVER (SURELY, this was coming), I read that you can apply for two AMEX cards in one day so I thought I'd pull the trigger on Amex Platinum (charge card), but was denied. I wasn't bummed out about it, though, just knowing that they let me IN was enough! VERY happy!! Oh...Trans: 637, Equ: 652; Exp: 647

Congrats on the new card, it was the card that started my journey with Amex.
I've since moved up to the reserve and have 4 other cards, I had the Platinum for a little while but between the gold, aspire and reserve I had no use for it anymore.
Give it about 6 months, make sure to use the card and PIF each month and then have another go at the Platinum card if it is high on your list the outcome might be a little different.
