Citibank Custom Cash Card after Getting Approval for Anywhere Visa Card

I have been lurking for a few weeks and getting some good tips to follow for credit card applications. I got two preselected offers in the mail from Citi recently. One for Citi Custom Cash card and one for Citi Anywhere Visa card. I applied for the latter two weeks ago and was approved for $8,800. I am wondering if there are any restrictions like Chase has to apply for a second card, meaning the Custom Cash card. It has a specific interest rate and not a range. Also, does anyone know if they do a hard pull if there was an application less than 30 days ago?

Welcome to posting on the forum! Citi will indeed HP you for a second card application, even if within 30 days. You can apply for a second Citi card 8 days after applying for your first one. Then you have to take a break in applying again for, I believe, 90 days after the second application. I want the Citi Custom Cash and wish I got mailers for it. If you feel confident enough, go for it!

Thank you for your response. I applied this morning and was approved with a $3500 SL. I'm very happy considering I got $8800 for the Anywhere Visa card.
