US Bank Alt Go CLI

So about a week ago, I burned a hard pull 'cause I was increasingly frustrated with the $2K Alt Go limit that the US Bank extended 5 months ago.

All three bureaus were unlocked for a reason that didn't pan out. Happily, USox pulled TU -- for the initial app, they had pulled EQ.

Upon applying for the CLI (via the Android app), I got an "It's off to the underwriters. We'll let you know".

Uh-huh.

Still no word from USox, but when I logged in today, where it previously read:

Available credit $1,719.02

it now reads:

Available credit $19,719.02

Hard pull well spent.

Hmmmm now do I want to unfreeze my TransUnion and hope I get something similar?? I'm at $5k right now that I started with two years ago and each time I request online I get a blocked pull attempt for TU. Plenty of data points out there say they don't get a hard pull but maybe that's after the first CLI?

@expatCanuck, I learned AmEx maths at a young age, A+'s ....was top tier #3 in 5th grade.

They gave me a free ticket to skip 3rd grade ...and put me straight into 5th grade.

I am still stuck there till this day

FYI - I can'ts do spelling for beans. HA!

FFF's in all other classes. (well except wood shop / C+) The teacher felt sorry for Me

@ccquest, it is a YMMV with US Bank.

I have a few SP CLI's with them ... and about 20 blocked Inquiries on TU

I went ahead and unfroze...to get a $1k bump from $5k to $6k -.-

Feelz -- I took an EX INQ to increase my TD CL, and got a whopping $2K for my efforts - just over half a percent of my cumulative CL.

In contrast, this CLI provided a little over 5% of my cumulative CL.

My monthly spend has typically been several hundred dollars.

(After I bought the guitar to meet the SUB )

But it was whack that if allowed a handful of good restaurant dinners to report, the card could be over 50% utilized. (My income is comfortably in excess of 50x the card's initial limit.)

P.S. - I had an existing relationship - the cash+ card, which has a 13.5K limit (up from the 8K originally issued -- USox just upped it after a year or so).
