Credit One Bank American Express Approval

Hi Everyone, For those who this will help I tried to apply to AE and was

denied due to bk7 from 7/2020. AE suggested I apply to Credit One Bank

instead. I wasn't going to but I thought about it and took the plunge. The

most I thought I would get is $300-600. To my surprise I got approved for

$2000 cl, $39 af, 4 inquiries and Experian score of 679.

Do you mind sharing more datapoints?

In addition, why choose to go with Credit1? Your score would likely qualify with a better lender.

What is your rebuild so far?

Congrats on your Credit One Approval. But it's not an AmEx card. It simply use the AmEx payment network just like the Credit One cards that use the Visa network. AmEx doesn't even know you have it.

Did American Express suggest this online, or did you speak with a rep on the phone? (I only ask because I haven't heard of them doing this before.) Congratulations on your approval.

American Express online suggested for me to apply with Credit One Bank after denial.

Nevertheless American Express suggested I apply with their partner Credit One

Bank after my app was denied.

Congratulations! That's great.

I was surprised w/ my BK in Nov 2021 that I'd get anything more than $500 also. They gave me $1700. Someone posted they'll go up to $5k but it would be a long time.

Yes i did a pre-approval w/ Amex too. I had some good cards w/them prior to BK. Denied real Amex and they suggested Credit One Amex. Got it, I don't love it but rebuilding after BK 2021
