Kays CLI Hard Inquiry

Hello

Just wanted to bring to everyone's attention that Kays Comenity card appears to be doing hard inquiry CLIs now. My limit was 16750. I pushed the love button like I always do but this time I got an alert regarding a hard pull. They did increase my limit to 17750 but I think I am done with hitting the love button with them. I don't want any more hard inquiries on my credit report.

Congrats on the nice nudge up on your Kays Card but yes the same occurred for me with a store card of theirs.

That's definitely a YRMV then because I got a CLI on mine last week (al9ong with 2 other Comenity/Bread store cards) and it was a SP.

I wonder if this is going to be a thing for other Commenity cards as well, I have a BJ's commenity card and my last CLI was a SP, I was going to hit the luv button for another one in the next week or two, but not sure if it's worth the HP

@SDMarik They would not allow me to run it for BJ's. I think is because they are moving to Cap1.

But they did give a me CLI on new the NFL CC couple of months ago!

Hopefully this is a mistake or like FNBO you can call them for SP CLI. Given howmany store cards they are going to have it'll be crazy to have HP for every CLI.

Interesting, when is BJ's going to Cap1? Did they mention anything about if current card holders are going to be transferred over, or just cancelled?

They suppose to be moved by summer but Comenity is dragging it and got sued by BJ's, so now they are in court lol

But should be soon.

Well that depends i would guess. In the interim months Comenity/Bread systems went haywire, i was still able to request then approved increases on their BankCards but it's the nonreporting hang up that's a fly in the ointment lately. No CRA updates whatsoever since JUNE. It's almost October now.

No one can be sure until they see a HP or SP with those requests.
