USBANK Double Dip SP CLIs 5k/4k + Navy Fed Interest Rate Reduction

Hello, everyone!

I used the credit line increase forms on the US Bank website and my old Cash + was raised to 25K (4k increase)! I am more than happy with this limit and doubt they will raise the limit beyond this without a hard pull. My altitude was raised by 5k to 21k. I did not receive hard pulls, and I did not receive hard pulls for my previous CLIs through the "luv button". These are both old cards but they have been product changed through the years.

I got whacked by the hurricane so I have a lot of anxiety about buying my first roof on my first house I ever owned! I guess this made me think of credit as I have no idea how much my insurance will pay yet so I got the "itch" to mess with my accounts. In any case, I have had the Navy Amex with a 30k limit over a year so I sent a message asking if my account was eligible for a lower interest rate and they said yes and lowered it to 12.9%. Thank you very muchy, Navy! I have not paid any credit card interest in many years but it is a nice gesture that Navy lowered the rate.

UPDATE 11/1/2022: NFCU approved a SP CLI increase via the luv button for 5k so now my navy amex is 35k! More than enough for me so it will stay there probably.

I would have never thought to do the interest rate reduction or the soft pull CLIs without knowledge from this forum, so thanks to everyone who shares information.

DPs: 0/12 2/24 inqs; 0/12 1/24 new personal cards. 800s-820s ficos; I generally do AZEO because old habits die hard and so does OCD so 0% util with a small balance on 1 or 2 cards; $0 debt (that will probably change soon because roofs are expensive haha). I have an old US bank business checking account that I don't really use and I also have a business credit card from USBank, but I have no idea if that has anything to do with personal card credit increases. No new personal cards in the past year and 1 in the past 2 years.

I forgot some data points: Oldest Account: 15 years Average accoring to Experian 7+ years; Newest account: 1-2 years age. 8 open personal TLs, 3 business cards. No mortgage (paid off early, modest house for my income) & no car loan (I paid cash for a 10 year old toyota so I could pay off the house.).

Also, rebuilders may be interested to know that the altitude card that was raised to 21k started as a $2000 secured card 15 years ago! It was secured for a year or 2 as I recall and when it graduated they raised it to 6k. A year or two later they pre approved me for the second card and the rest is history. I got 5k increases on each card after the luv button appeared until their current raises as listed in the op.

Thank you so much! My luck continues because NFCU instantly approved my 5k SP CLI request yesterday. Yay!

I also thought it was nice that NFCU are offering personal loans up to 5k to those affected by the hurricane. I think the rate is around 6% so that's pretty good.
