First Chase Approval!

Long story short, I've had a few paid charge-offs hurting my credit for a while. I opened a checking account with Chase a couple of years ago to help start a relationship as I worked towards fixing my credit. I've wanted the Chase Freedom Flex since it was announced and was denied last summer when I had half the income and scores in the 650 range. I decided to reapply today after utilizing early exclusion; Experian removed the two largest of three negative items and TransUnion removed all three. I didn't bother with Equifax after reading horror stories, but they automatically removed one of the smaller ones last week. I was betting on Chase pulling Experian since that's the trend for Texas residents and that's what they went with. Instant approval much to my surprise, I haven't seen that for several years. I started a new job recently and it feels good to get back in the swing of things with investing and paying full statement balances every month. I'd like to thank my fellow forum members for all of the great advice I'm utilizing on my way back up!

No, USAA and Navy Federal though. I'm trying to mend those relationships for sure.

Congrats! I noticed the Flex SUB switched back to 5% off groceries for a full year, which must be a nice bonus as well.
