BoA Better Balance Rewards

I sort of held my breath and app'd for the Bank of America Better Balance Rewards late last night. I was really on the fence if I should app for Capital One Quicksilver or the BBR because I wanted a card I could use for utilities and non-category spend and ultimately went with BoA because it's a guaranteed $100 a year vs. 1.5% back on my relatively minimal spend. I'm suffering from a bit of app'ers remorse only because the Cap1 did have a $100 sign-up bonus for the first $500 of spend within 3 months, but I was trying to think longer term and I figured there are a bit more PC options with BoA if BBR gets nerfed. Also, I didn't want to incur too many inquiries and Cap1 annoyingly pulls from all 3 CBs. I realize the BBR isn't ideal for general spend, so I will probably just put one bill on it and put all other miscellaneous spend through my Chase Freedom card to rack up more UR points.

At any rate, I was approved for the Better Balance Rewards with a $5000 CL!

15.99% APR (blah )

Now I really must garden for the next year or so - no ifs, ands, or apps!

15.99 isn't all that bad, give it 12 months and ask for APR reduction. Congrats on the card and nice limit!

That's true! I sort of get hypnotized by the low end of the card's APR range, which was listed as 11.99%, but falling in the middle isn't bad!

I wanted a BofA card so very bad even though i already got approved from most of the Prime Lenders (minus Chase/Amex saving for later), who already approved me and i don't know the reason why exactly but it required a second HP off TU at recon (Exp 1st), but was thrilled to peaches to finally land the Cash Rewards 321. BofA has some appealing Cash returns cards IMHO worth apping for.

Congrats! Just converted my Cash Rewards to BBR and waiting for it to arrive. It shows when I log into my account, so it shouldn't be long now.

congrats on the approval. I think that one also qualifies for the cash back deals BoA has which can earn you upto 15% cash back on select restaurants or stores.

I get the additional $5 because of my additional accounts.

Card finally arrived on Friday. Still don't understand why it took so long, but oh well.
