U.S. Bank Cash+ Visa approval

After "gardening" since mid-June 2022, I applied for and was automatically approved for a new credit card a short time ago (on January 16th), the U.S. Bank Cash+ Visa. More details:

*Card: U.S. Bank Cash+ Visa

*Credit Limit: $10,000

*APR: 0% for first 15 months, 18.74% after that

I've had my eye on this card since January 2021, but twice delayed getting the card in favor of other cards (PSECU Founder's Visa in early December 2021 and Citi Custom Cash Mastercard in mid-June 2022). Because U.S. Bank appears to have relatively stringent approval requirements (no more than 1 credit card application/approval in the previous 12 months across all issuers) and I didn't reach 1/12 until early December (and for sure until this month), I wanted to wait a bit before applying. I also generally like to wait about 6 months between credit card applications. Both of those "requirements" were met, so it was time to get out of the garden.

My next card target is the USB Cash+'s "cousin" card, the Elan Financial Services Max Cash Preferred. I'll probably apply for the Elan Max Cash Preferred Visa via S&T Bank (an out-of-state bank relative to where I currently live that I belonged to 20+ years ago while in graduate school) most likely in July 2023 timeframe. I also have my eyes on the Bank of America Customized Cash Rewards Visa and American Express Blue Cash Everyday (probably in that order of preference) but I'll probably target them in 2024.

Congratulations on your new card! This card is awesome! I am curious on why do you want BofA CCR and Amex BCE when you have the same rewards on other cards in your signature.

1) I'd like to boost my general online spending rewards rate across all online retailers during the entire year.

2) I want access to Bank of America Offers, which often tend to be different than those provided by other card issuers and usually include local merchants (but different local merchants than those offered by Citi-issued non co-brand cards). With American Express, I'd prefer to get Amex Offers on a cash back-oriented card rather than a Hilton-specific card (though that is not a critical need).
