MIDFLORIDA CU Visa Signature approval - 20k

Not really much to say on this one had an approval yesterday for spend on a TD cash card and really couldn't find anything else with bonuses that I cared about as needed more bonus for spend as dropping 15-20k in next month or two for allocated budgeted things. Anyways, MidFlorida as known use to be the rave at 2.5% closest next to well AOD(still killing it). I guess wanted my Inquires to age together now at 10 EXP ones. First call was from UW as applied this morning then he called around 3:30 in afternoon and said lets get this done today. I already knew from previous conversations they would require POI so during application and attached last two pay stubs. During app process asked for desired CL I put 20k. Anyways when he called I was a bit thrown back as asked for a few more things although just verbal such as assets being 401k and some other stuff. I gave him a few things just verbally, but I asked what score they pulled and he stated EXP at 8xx, can't recall the number. Eventually quite honestly I didn't need the card and said here are a few 401k's and here is one IRA amount and let me credit speak for itself as was about to be going out for food/drinks. Anyways while heading for said drinks/food he called back and said approved for said amount and best APR. The PITA is he said I need to go into branch (which was expected from other posts) to do docusign. Scheduled appt. for Monday morning to swing in their and do the signatures, etc... They are a VERY conservative CU although with that said they didn't ask why I had so much open credit other then would I be using this for a BT card which I answered no, just a card for general spend.

DP's EXP pulled over 800 which model I have no idea, will be my 10th Exp inquiry. Util less than 1%, income well into 6 figures, etc. Anything else please ask. Another approval I can't do a screen shot on atm as website just says decisioned until docusign is done in branch. Nice enough people and opened a savings basic earlier this week with 10 just for membership 5 which was required and threw 50 into a checking account. Fairly good turn around for a CU although ALL credit products go through manual UW and no auto approvals. Hope this helps someone near me in mid-florida.

@CreditCuriosity - nice documented experience. I'm also in South Florida and see MID Florida branches quite a bit and have always wondered about them. Personally haven't found much on here from the FICO community. Thank you for sharing.

hopefully i find more experiences like these related to other Florida CUs for future references. SeaCoast and Tropical Federal CU.

SeaCoast is a bank, not a CU and only offers cards through Elan. Tropical FCU doesn't offer credit cards at all.

A bit of a bummer about having to go by in-person to sign, but in your case the outcome was definitely worth it.

Ya kinda weird.. Lady was really nice went in today and got the card.. Interesting thing is she said I had the highest score she has ever seen at 826 I believe, not sure what model they were using. She was like do you want a car loan any other loan while you are here.. Got a kick out of it as she said most people that apply for stuff are in the 600's or occasionally 700's and I was kinda shaking my head. Interesting conversation none the less. Was tempted to ask her to bump it up to 30k while there, but decided not to lol
