TD Cash Approval

As title says TD Cash Approval applied online last night as needed a bonus to chase and now that I am in TD jurisdiction with a branch just down the road figured I would hit them up. I had a rock come up and hit my windshield the other day and a new one will cost me 1800, but thankfully SF my insurance company will be sending me a check for $1800 for windshield which is on its way in the mail now and ill just pay MB on the 6th to install it, etc. So very easy bonus to hit for $150 and of course getting my credit fix.

Limit isn't the best, but TD is known to be VERY conservative likely to credit seekers as well.. Limit was only 6k, but honestly could of been worse and thought it was initialllly(aka denial)! I got a really weird error didn't say approved or denied at end. Gave me a message "we're unable to process your application. There is a problem and please resubmit in future or visit branch".. Very weird message. I did get hit by an Exp HP though. Called in this morning when their CC division was opened and texted a code and then she said it was approved. I am not sure if I would of ever got anything in the mail/email etc if I didn't follow through? Anyways got the best APR of 18%. Card is meh, but wanted bonus. 3% food, 5% gas for 6 months and 2% at grocery stores. Thought about double up card, but have so many 2% or 3% cards.

Anyways stats 9 Inq on Exp(most within last 12 months), Scores depending on model 770-810 range on Exp. 7 new personal cards in last 12 months. Utilization 1%, etc. Time to put my head in the sand for hopefully 6 months or so.

Would give a screen shot but no email came after weird web message and after calling in to yield approval after verification.

@CreditCuriosity, congratulations on the TDCash card; one of my favorite.

FWIW, mine unsecured two years ago this month with a $5,000 credit limit, I've received two Auto-CLIs; the second last month bumped my limit to $11,500. So, while they may be conservative for initial underwriting, they can be very liberal with CLIs.

Thanks for the info hopefully 1800 charge right off will make them see me in a bit better light . Will then likely just use for a bit of gas as have another 5% year around gas and occasional food here and there otherwise just be anohter piece of plastic not used to much.

Hey, at least it wasn't $500 given your overall profile and knowing how TD Bank rolls sometimes 😬. If you place some considerable spend from time to time it can eventually grow, though.

Slipped while I was out again today so had the two inquiries age together. Local cu mid Florida cu 20k approval what I asked for could of likely got more but nice round number. Will make another post or that when home. Uw called me while heading for drinks and cow in that one. Wf likely won't take that very well although they pull tu shrug. Just a lot of spend coming but running out of bonus cards other then wf sigh

I've had two Auto-CLIs for my TDCash card in the last year, neither resulted in a hard pull (or even a soft pull that I'm aware of), however, in about a 10 month span my credit limit went from $5,000 to $11,500.

TDB is kind of a tough bank as you know, and a little on the conservative side, so given your overall credit package, thats a decent SL! You'll be able to work with that , and get the limit up in no time!
