So after reading many threads about Chase not even looking at me because of my bk7 still reporting (8 years in 2 to go) and being 3/24 right now I got bored today and said what the heck I only have 2 inquiries and applied expecting at best to call in and plead my case with a rep.

Well I was instantly approved for thr Freedom Unlimited for $16,500 and was understandable very shocked at this so I wanted to at least come here and provide a data point that it is possible to get in with Chase with a bk reporting

Congratulations! For another data point I was approved for the Amazon Prime Visa card with a 6 year old BK last July. I was over 5/24. You got a much nicer limit than I did.

congratulations! That gives me some hope for the future. I'm a little past 2 years since discharge, and I applied for the Freedom Flex last week. It was the quickest denial I've ever received.

Did you have any issues preapprovals on their site? My bankruptcy finally fell off last month and still have no pre approvals for any chase cards to include Amazon. I have no baddies and scores in the 790 range.

The preapproval never worked for me. They said they couldn't pull my report but it wasn't locked and everyone else could. Obviously they could too because they did for my approval.
