Amex 3x CLI Approved!

This is my first CLI on my only Amex (BCE.) I waited until after the 4th statement cut due to the uncertainty of 90 day, 110 day, etc and figured 4 statements is probably a safe point, and got the instant approval via the web link (which IS back!) increasing from $2000 to $6000! This was, by far, my lowest card being the newest with an average SL, so it's nice to get it up. It's now the middle chiled, with Citi as my highest (6900), followed by BCE, and at the back of the pack Disco at $5k, which may get an auto to keep up with the others in a month, we'll see.

I don't know when or how much is time for the next increase, but now that i'm getting into the 6000s, I can't imagine really needing more than one more increase per card to make them really cover anything I'd ever put on them without toppling my util. Amex made it really easy with the 3x, jumping straight up into the high end in a few months!

FWIW I don't put as much spend so far on the Amex as I do the other two. Citi DC is my primary card, and I use the Disco a lot for 1/4 the month since the statement date means I can use that while not using the other two and waiting for the statement to cut without util, so BCE gets a few hundred a month so far, only.

@uncredited - congratulations on the credit line increase! Amex is really nice in that they will sometimes give you the 3x CLI.

Real solid. Like you mentioned, you'll probably see other limits start to follow too. Have seen these CC companies get competitive when they see others have given you a high limit. They want that interest
