Capital One Savor One 2x CLI $5K -> $10K

This was my first attempt at a CLI on this card, it's only been about 90 days! I've been putting moderate spend on the card - a good amount of taps, but not more than $700 in a month. I was half expecting them to decline for account too new or still assessing experience with current limit or the such, or counter with a lower number. Got the best case scenario instead!

No credit alerts since last post and this, so EX 724, EQ 686, TU 721 are still my numbers.

Next up will be the Amex 3x CLI attempt, but I have to wait a bit for that.

Congrats. Cap 1 has been considerably more generous with cli's since the end of the summer. And seems to have become more generous in 2023.

I tried to get a CLI but got denied due to spending being too low. My limit is $2400 & over the past few months I've been spending about 300-400 a month then paying it on the due date. Do you swipe often or make bigger purchases?

Congrats on the CLI! I have lower scores, but am getting ready to go for a CLI on my SavorOne. I've only got a $3k limit and just made a payment for my 6th statement last week, but have been putting significant spend on it (was averaging ~$1775/mo, but a large purchase last month led to ~$3250 in usage). Contemplating pressing the luv button tonight, before my recent Amex hits EX and EQ (has only hit TU yet)

I do swipe pretty often, but mostly for low dollar amounts (lunch, small/specific grocery runs, train tickets, individual items, etc.) Amex gets my large dollar swipes, I am intentionally sending Cap One and Amex different signals about what type of consumer I am. What I suspect Cap One really likes is I've had to give them a lot of 1% non-category spend due to lack of options, their card is being "mained" for now. They may like you less if you use your card more optimally. IMO, you are spending enough for a CLI, but ultimately I have no idea why they like or dislike various profiles and it's all educated guesses. Cap One especially likes people they think will carry a balance at some point, but I also PIF every month like you...not interested in giving them interest lol.

Thanks, yeah you definitely have enough spend for a CLI and it's been long enough. One other thing I have noticed is they like people with a lower number of cards, so they should like your profile. It should be a SP, so there's really no downside to going for it!
