Citi Simplicity Approval

I was checking pre-approvals and had both the Citi Simplicity and the Citi Diamond Preferred come up with solid interest rates. Neither have any rewards but both have 0% interest on BT's for 21 months, and on purchases for 12 months plus no AF. BT's have to be started within 4 months of the account opening. DW has some higher balances on Discover that we're paying down, so figured I'd give it a shot and if approved I'd try to move her balance to this one. Went with the Simplicity app, I got the review message which I kind of expected. Cap One had put a fraud alert on me in October for an inquiry that wasn't me. Citi called me about 5 minutes later, did some ID verification over the phone and was approved for $5k. My highest CL to date! Higher limits beget higher limts, and all that. Now for the info you're all waiting for....

As of this morning Citi has only pulled EX. Cards in my name are C1 Savor 3k CL, Credit One 500 CL and BoA secured 300 CL. Might be time to put the CreditOne card out to pasture.....

Higher limits DO beget higher limits. Strong words to live by

(I feel like I used to see this all the time somewhere ) .

You're likely outgrowing Credit One, especially if you are paying an annual fee to keep it.

Thanks! Yea, the AF on CreditOne is approaching in June I think, and based on what I've read it might take until June to close it haha. Going to get that process started as soon as this Citi account hits my reports so I keep 3 cards open.
