BECU is amazing!

I joined BECU in January with a checking and savings account and a week later was approved for their Low Interest Visa with a $2,500 limit.

Two days ago I applied for the Cash Back Visa and was immediately approved with a $10,000 limit! Woohoo! I got an email from them the next day (yesterday) to give them a call.

I called this morning and chatted with an awesome rep. After a couple verifying questions, he said that indeed the credit card was approved and actually already in the system and that I should get it in the mail next week.

Then he must've been looking through my report and noticed a personal loan from a company known to have pretty high interest rates and suggested that he could probably get me a better rate with the same hard pull. I was planning on paying the personal loan off this fall anyway, but I said sure, let's see what we can do. He got me a $12,000 personal loan with 10% interest rate. A full 21% less than my current loan with a full year shorter term! Dropped the monthly payment over a hundred bucks a month.

Already overjoyed, before ending the call I asked about a consumer line of credit. He explained how it worked and that they offer up to 10k. I asked for 5K and was approved.

I've never experienced such amazing customer service. He was so helpful and great to work with. I mentioned this to him and he said that they're just there to help their members.

The E documents were in my email within 15 minutes and the funds in my account within half an hour.

Pulled Transunion - 704

30 Inqs. 20/24 new accounts (including a new truck, haven't posted about that yet)

Have run about 80k in direct deposits since opening in January

I've used them for a couple of auto loans, and always been a pleasant experience. No hassles, pleasant people. Never applied for any other products though.

BECU has been my "bank" for the last 12 years and I love them. I am curious how you got all the approvals with just one credit pull. Did you do them all on the phone with a CSR? I've applied for more than one thing at a time online and go hit with multiple TU HPs. Thanks.

Yep! The original application for the credit card was online. But then I called in and talked with a "Member Lending Specialist." He was the one who suggested the personal loan and when that was done, I asked him about the CLOC. The whole thing lasted maybe 20 minutes.

Thanks very much for this info. I learned something new. They are my primary bank for personal and business accounts and are across the street from my condo.
