$1,900 Citi CLI

So, although I'm not sure how this happened. I submitted some SP applications for CLI between Citi Premier and Discover It and have always been denied everytime but today I went into my account and low and behold, a CLI from $3,900 to $5,800.

Previously I was getting the below statement before this last statement which was a 6th month account anniverary but also the 7th statement (kinda weird statement close):

so maybe it just means that you have to wait and they'll increase it by themselves? I'm not sure because even yesterday (statement closed and pdf created in the app) I didn't have a CLI but this morning after seeing the EMAIL of the new statement being available online, there it was, a new CL.

I put a little bit more than $4,500 on it. Most of it was back for the bonus, never carried a balance but did report highest balance of ~$3,100 back in December. I believe I put around ~$150 per statement period of spend since then and let the past two report.

Signature is current and Amex BCP is still not reporting, let me know if anymore datapoints would be helpful.

And to share a potentially interesting DP, it looks like your increase was 50% (to the nearest $100, rounded down). Mine was 50% as well, from $3000 to $4500. Our accounts are about the same age (I opened mine in December), and I haven't been running a ton through the card either (<10%). But mine wasn't an auto increase. I requested a CLI, and waited the full 6 months before trying. Also, mine's a Custom Cash not a Premier. But the timing and increase are quite similar.

Very interesting note @Anonymalous, they are both citi core cards and not retail after all. It is well known that most Citi CLI's are 50% increases or is this just for our first one. It would be interesting to see how both of ours grow together (I'm planning to PC over to the Custom Cash before the annual fee hits). I remember seeing a lot of Citi CLI's between $1,500 and $2,000 here on the forums so that seems to be the most common. Even on that Citi CLI glitch thread back in the day, they seemed to be in consistent chunks (although I beleive one person was getting $4k cli at a time).

Congratulations on your Citi CLI! I still get the same denial reasons when requesting Citi CLIs so your post shows that there is hope for an auto-CLI.

I still have the original SL on my Custom Cash and spend $100-$200 a month on it. I have had the same denial reasons every time.

That's pretty interesting, I wonder why that would be the case. Maybe a difference between @Anonymalous and your profile since you do have another Citi card already with a higher limit, maybe Citi is reluctant to increase your TCL with them any further for now? You could probably ask for a specific amount over call if you don't mind a hard pull but I'm not sure how long you'll have to wait otherwise.
