NFCU Visa Rwds CLI

Its been years since I've requested a CLI on my Navy Visa . Decided why not today and requested 3k via the app and instant approval . Probably left some on the table but that ok, I'll be back

Just curious as to why that you did not ask for mthe full $8K CLI?

Couple years ago I did, denied ,but I forget the reasons. This time I thought I'll give it a go with less and it worked out. 3 more statements and I'll try with my new ( 3 month ) NFCU Platinum

Usually with Navy, they will counter offer if not willing to grant the full amount.

So there is no harm in asking for the full $8K CLI. Good luck on your next request

you only need to wait 90 days/3 statements after a card's first approval for a CLI

Thanks @M_Smart007 & @GZG , yes, I'm aware as @CreditCuriosity & @Creditaddict offered all their insights in to NFCU many years ago. In 2014 when I first joined NFCU post DC, I was reeling in CLI's with Navy. Was very happy with my quick progress. Since my last denial, with clean CR's ( execpt BK7 ) I figured I'd just leave well enough alone. That is until the other day when I received my 3K CLI on the Rwds Visa. Was very surprised at not getting counter-offered on that denial. So since I seem to be a bit NFCU sensitive for some reason, I'll give it 6 months. Good to know their internal underwritting practices appear not have changed much .
