Shopping Cart Trick!!!!!!!!

So, I went today after opting back in for "pre-approvals" and tried the shopping cart trick. (Express) IT WORKED!!!!! It didn't give me a credit line though... Wondering if I should call and find out what it is?

Even with my Fico. I was floored. I knew from my reading that it would only be a SP. Super excited! I almost screamed when it came back approved. HAPPY DANCE INDEED!

Literally opted in on Friday 3/25//2014 before I left work.... Probably about 2pm EST

No. Just a way to open a new line of credit without a hard pull on your file.

You mean like my Virgin America card? They did not do hard pull but I didn't use shopping cart. I just started buying ticket.

I have done:

express...dont do it it takes forever to get a cli

Victoria Secret.... I think it takes the same amount of time for a cli but grows faster when you finally get there (Statement number 9) CLI button

J.Crew has grown much faster. I am up to $1700

Sportsman Guide I waited till other big lines with Amex & Discover and got the pop up and was approved for 7k

None of these were hard pulls on the CRB's

J crew is still a no go for me on soft pull. I am trying to determine what is holding me back.as of right now have clean credit report with 1 percent utilization.

Did you try a different browser? I had read a post where someone used internet explore instead of firefox and got the pop up. When I did Sportsmans guide I had been using firefox and jumped on another computer, made sure i went in on chrome and checked off add membership at checkout, had a couple of items in the cart.... didn't get the pop up in the final payment window and hit the back button and then was given the pop up when it looked like I was leaving the checkout. You have to enter all your info like you are getting it shipped and go right up to the point where you enter your payment info to confirm the order.

I have tried safari in osx and iPad,along with chrome,ie,and ff in windows,so I am at a loss. For the record I wanted to test j crew pop ups I tried using my moms info,and she got a popup. Her credit is an bit better than mine.

My report is clean with fico scores hovering around 790-800, so I didn't think that was problem could be wrong tho oh well

Ok... I guess I got really lucky with the shopping cart trick... I was hoping for a few more pre-approvals. Went to the site and NOTHING! What gives? Can anyone shed some light on this?

yes the process of buying a ticket on Virgin is like putting items in your shopping cart on VS, in both its the shopping cart trick
