Amex Hilton surpass approval, low SL

Hello,

Used the pre approval tool and got approved for the AMEX Hilton surpass. Seemed like a really good intro offer so I pulled the trigger.

$1,000 SL. Was hoping for atleast 5k. No luck with recon. I'm happy to have Amex but disappointed with the SL. Now I have to figure out how to grow this card haha

Congrats. It will grow with time. I had a similar experience with my BCP approval about a month ago. A 2k approval with high 700s scores on EX and TU. Prob my EQ holding me back. Patience isn't the easiest thing to have in this game but you'll be rewarded.

spend, pay back in full, after 90 days, keep checking the CLI button and ask for more, probably 3x or 3k total

Congrats on the approval @Wls170 , don't even sweat the SL. It's the benefits and sub that matter anyway. When I first got my Aspire, I got lowballed at $3100 SL, and it's been fairly easy to work it up over time. Meanwhile, enjoy the travel and value you'll be receiving, and keep your eye out for an upgrade offer in the future too.

Do what you have to do, i was also approved for this card last year for a $1000 SL, today i just transfered $1K from my Investor card to the Surpass giving it atleast a $2000 limit.

Congratulations on the approval. Don't worry about the starting limit; it's easy to get credit limit increases with American Express.
