Mutiple CC approvals

Discharged Chapter 7 in Nov 2021, worked up to a 720 FICO. Applied for some new cards as now that we have new car Fri, they are gonna anihiliate me after that posts to report.

Navy Fed Platinum - 11k (transferred 1.8 off of the Costco card to Navy @ 0 percent)
Apple Card - 4K
Discover Cash It - 5K

Prime denied because I forgot about the Chase rule (this was the first one I applied for last night)

Also last month, Bucketed QS was able to CLI to 3k last year and my wife's to 2.9 finally after being stuck at 600 forever. So hang in there. Those were our first products after BK so about 2.5 years total to get to where we wanted with those

Looking at one more to add to my collection today before I go back into the garden for the indefinite future but this was a thrill

Were you discharged in 2021 or 2020? I was trying to figure out the "2.5 years" comment.

Congratulations @Pepsibottle1 on your approvals! You mentioned a "Chase rule" about your denial for the Prime card. If you meant 5/24 it appears that Chase has either relaxed that rule or stopped it for the Amazon Prime card, so they may have another reason for the denial.

Edit: Hoping you'll post their reasons when Chase sends the denial letter.

Thats incredible to build a 720 fico with a bk7 only 1 1/2 years ago. which fico is that? ex 8/9, eq 8/9, or tu 8/9 ?

My highest ficos are in the 680 to 690 range, i never broke 700 since my bk7 dc in dec/2019

Maybe - I called Prime card today to inquire about the reson for denial, and I got a message saying that app is under review and to wait 7-10 days? Prime Card is a huge goal card for us since we use Amazon a lot so that would be huge

Please do report back on the reason Chase gives you. From everything I've read the past few years, Chase will not approve you if there is a BK on file, so 10 years from filing on a Chapter 7. Keep in mind that if they do list their reason as the 5/24 rule, that may not be the only one. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for you, but I will be curious what happens. Best of luck.

The denial reason was confirmed to be the Bankruptcy. However, I was able to reach a helpful supervisor who heard my case for reconsideration. She submit it for further review, which she said should take about 1-2 weeks. That's better than the hard no I got.
