Strange Synchrony Approval

I applied for Synchrony Care Credit. Did the video/id verification. Called in after completing verification. Agent confirmed I was approved. I was approved for $1,500. Thereafter, I recieved notification with account number saying they couldn't approve me. Already recieved notification from credit bureaus that a new account was reported. Doesn't matter to me either way, but if this is the case I will be disputing the new account and asking that it be removed, since essentially, I wasnt technically approved.... Thoughts? Suggestions?

Did it stay as a denial? What did the letter say?

Did you check your reports to see what the new account is?

You stated you applied for the card, when you apply most lenders hit you with an HP if you are approved or denied unless otherwise stated, ymmv

I understand that. It's the new account hit aka age of youngest account.

@FireMedic1 According to the automatic system the account is still active. The letter said this.... I'll talk with an agent to confirm the true status.

this is an AA letter saying you didn't get the amount you put, it doesn't say it's an outright denial for the account altogether

you asked for (however much you put amount), but they only gave you $1500

they need to provide an AA letter saying why they didn't give you the amount you asked for

Part of the credit world. Counter offers. But congrats is in order. I tried a pre-qual with Care Credit for dental work of $3000. They had my dentist listed. They said yes for the $3000. I backed out. Not getting a maxed out card.
