AMEX Everyday Preferred first cli success

Today is the 2nd day after my 3rd statement cut. My SL on this card was $20k with a bk7 still showing from 2015 and Amex being one of my burned creditors. Tried for $35k to not trigger an income verification and they came back with $30k immediately. Says they would need additional info ( 3 most recent bank statements) to make a decision on the other $5k. Currently deciding if I want to do that or be content with the $30k limit for now. is there any reasons not to do this ? Is it 180 days now before I can request another cli?

So another DP showing you can get a CLI with a bk reporting even when they were iib.

Congratulations. YMMV, I got to 40 without income verification on the same card. You got a cli quicker than me. I had to wait 6 months. Good luck on your next go round.

I'm always hesitant to share more of my financial information than necessary. We don't have much privacy left, so I'd like to retain the last few shreds, if possible. If they were shutting down all my cards, maybe. But not for an extra $5K on top of $30K. But it's really up to you and your comfort level/degree of resignation.

Congrats on the CLI! If I already had $30k for a limit I wouldn't go through the hassle of bank statements to get to $35k.
