Penfed Promise Credit Card... Approved???

OK all..

In light of my recent approvals in the last week and a half Total Rewards $9,500, Chase Southwest premier $2,000 (after recon) and todays approval for Vitacost $5,000 (after Recon) i got the courage to apply for Penfed. Opening an account with Penfed I came to learn that I already had a Share account with them from 2006 with a $10.00 balance!! LOL

So being that i've been a member with them since 2006 i decided to apply for the Promise Visa Card.. To my surprise they approved me for $21,000 CL!!! I checked my Equifax score right before i applied and it is showing 727 (from equifax site). Last week i checked MyFico Equifax and it was showing 650. What a huge difference in Fico scores?? why is this??

Also none of the new credit i have received from both Comenity TR and Vitacost and the Chase Southwest are reporting yet so i figured i'd apply now before they start reporting.

Question for you experts here do you guys think this is the final approval?? All of the pages in PenFed says Status - Approved 4/28/14. Under Action it even shows that im preapproved for new car loans, refinance, etc.

Do you guys think this Credit Line will actually stick?? I am so hoping it will!! :-)

I hope they approve you but not do burst your bubble I wouldn't be surprised if the limit is chopped or denied altogether. Penfed also gave me an instant approval like that, but when the analyst finally reviewed my application, it was denied. My Equifax Fico was 797 from their letter, citing "pyramiding debt" aka new accounts. With the exception of new accounts, my reports are completely clean. They are one of the most conservative lenders. Anyways, goodluck I'll cross my fingers for you.

hmmmm well i will have to crossed my fingers that this new account sticks!! I would love to own this card wit hthe credit line. FWIW none of the new accounts i have applied for are showing on any of my credit reports yet. therefore im hoping that when they do a manual review they wont see it at that time since its not on there and will allow me to keep the card... :crossing fingers and toes:

Hi all... well I checked again just now and the Status now reads "Transferred 4/28/14" does anyone know what this means???

Tranferred means you got approved and it being made for you and in the mail soon. I got the same Transferred for my Promise VIsa with them

Oh wow... well if its true that this means final approval then i just received my highest ever credit line... $21,000!! Wow... cant imagine getting approved for that much with my current scores... im tempted to do a Happy Dance but will hold off until i get the physical card in my hands!! LOL..

Transferred definitely means you are good to go. Congratulations and hopefully you kept most of that CL!

Well last time i checked last night it was approved for $21,000 and status approved. Now it says status transferred but i cant figure out where to check if I indeed was able to keep all of the $21,000 CL? is there any way to check now or is it just a waiting game for when i receive the card?

I remember when I was approved, there were some documents I had to digitally sign and the limit was listed in them. When you go to where it says "Transferred", is there a button to click anywhere?

no button anywhere... just Status - Transferred 4/28/14.. i guess ill wait to receive my card and see what it shows.. my app never went to pending.. it went from Approved Status late last night to Transferred Status early this morning.. and last i saw it was approved for $21,000 CL...
