Credit One Amex Rewards approval but asked to send documentation?

I just finished a bk7 and this was guaranteed approval in credit karma, so I took it. $2,000 SL 1% cash bach and $39 AF. Not bad for a 1st starter card.

The approval said, (pending verification of Identity) and in the application status, went from Approved on the first day, check back for mailing date. Then the app status went to Appliction in Progress for a few days, then back to approved and they mailed my card. When I activated it yesterday I tried to set it up for renewing my spotify membership but it was declined. So, I called in and they said I had to upload my ID, a utility bill and paystub. I uploaded everything but just never seen a card come in the mail, online account access set up and working but still need to verify things. Is this normal through Credit One? Anyone else had the same?

Welcome @boomski and congrats? When was it mailed? Lots of things are changing in the credit world. Lets us know when it arrives. Least it wasnt an auto denial.

Congratulations on your approval. Nice SL too btw! Document verification and uploads are becoming the new thing I've notice. I experienced my first video/ID upload earlier this month. The financial state of the economy mixed with CPN scams and fraud, it's sort of expected these days.

@FireMedic1 That's the thing, I got the card yesterday. I've just never received a card and was then asked for documentation, weird, right?
