Recent Approvals Wings, Affinity, BCU, PSECU

Hey Everyone,

Haven't posted here in a while so wanted to update with some recent approvals.

Affinity FCU- Cash Rewards Visa Sig $10,000 (Pulled EX 688)

Wings FCU- Member Cash Rewards Visa Sig $5,000 (Pulled EX Vantage 4.0 680)

BCU- Travel Rewards Visa Sig $6,000 (TU 685) and a couple weeks later approved for $10,000 LOC.

PSECU- Have their Founders Visa Sig for roughly a year at $20,000. Approved for a SLOC for $10,000. (EX 696)

Honestly cannot say enough good things about all the above but especially BCU. I've had the same loan officer for the card and the LOC and he was excellent, responsive, and very quick. Honestly liked my experience and their checking rewards so much I moved a chunk of my deposit accounts over to them.

Dropped AOD and DCU memberships. Unable to establish ANY credit relationship with either in over two years.

Had a membership savings only with them for several years. Good customer service. Seem to be on the conservative side. I believe some of their deposit rates are excellent. The only thing I dislike about Wings is the fact they use Vantage 4.0 for underwriting. For some reason, my FICO score is quite a bit higher than my Vantage at least at that time. Other than that, no complaints. Seamless process and now doing preapprovals!

First off, congratulation on all the success you have and what important is that you are well satisfied with your success so far. By the way, can you please explain a bit as to why you dropped AOD and DCU....and why you were unable to establish any credit relationship with them in over 2 yrs??? Did you not obtain credit products from them? If not then why?? Also, do you like customer service of BCU better than NFCU? Or you have no experience with NFCU as of yet? Tnx

AOD was extremely sensitive to student loan debt. Would not accept IBR payment amount. Formulated their own method and projected my monthly payments at $1,000+ thus they denied every application due to this. I'm not sure what the deal was with DCU. Denied every app for escalating debt. DTI is minimal and utilization < 15%. I'm assuming they don't like something about my profile. Been in my currently job for almost 6 years. Not sure what it was but they denied me every single time.

As far as customer service goes, I've never really had to talk to NFCU much. When I have they have been great but the majority of their stuff is done online/automated. BCU seems to be a little less automated. Both my approvals including calls with a loan officer. Had the same one twice. He was amazing. Their deposit rates and my interaction with him ultimately led to moving a big chunk of my deposits over to them. I now point a good majority of my payroll direct deposit over to them. Still send a chunk to Consumers as well. They have also been great.

If this is Wings Credit Union based in Apple Valley, Minnesota that OP is talking about (Formerly called Wings Financial Credit Union, they just recently rebranded to just Wings Credit Union) they're fantastic in my opinion and best credit union headquartered in Minnesota (Also by far the largest credit union in Minnesota by a large margin!) I've been a member since 2017 or somewhere around there.
