Went through the whole SP pre-approval process and they ended up pre-approving me for a $3500 SL based on the SP. @reluctantgarden pointed out that he was able to accept his offer from them and get the card without a HP so I decided to try the same. Froze all my reports and went back and accepted the offer and was instantly approved for the offer that had given me. Always great when you can do something like that without the stupid HP.

Congrats.. Although i wouldn't call a HP stupid as you are seeking credit and a HP makes other creditors of your aware is the purpose and possibly future creditors as well to evaluate risk and credit seeking.

So now we have two DPs that the magic no-HP SL is $3,500, lol. Congrats again!

Congrats on your approval! I did the exact thing when I got approved for mine last year. Granted I only got a $2.5k SL and all requests for a CLI till this day has always been declined. I'm curious if you got the SUB to spend $1k in 90 days for 15,000 bonus points and 0% APR for 12 months? At least that was the offer they had as of the time I got mine.

Yes, that's still the SUB. And it's nice it jumps the regular 6.7% back on gas/convenience stores to around 10% in year one, plus 0% APR is always handy.
