Marriott Bonvoy Chase Approval

I posted this in another thread but wanted to post for data points for others to reference as I was searching for similar info for a bit before applying.

Was extremely interested in this card because I frequent Marriott ( 40 or so nights a yr for work ) and can run expenses ( 2500-5000/ month) through my card for work related reimbursement.

Past burn of chase for 1000 or so in 2012 so was worried but encouraged by my recent credit score success ( formerly in 620-650 range in the spring ) now 720-800 across the board.

boa au for 7500

disco newly cli to 2000 after unsecure

2 private student loans old as hell ( 15 yrs )

new mortgage from may

was worried about bonvoy card bc I don't have 5000 of my own cl just au . I am pretty conservative after past old habits.

nevertheless applied and got 7-10 window , was encouraged by people here to call in and was granted the 5000 starting cli.

now I will run all my work stuff through bonvoy card for points ( I added chase checking acct to operate in )

will run my everyday spend through disco and with my boa au card with my wife.

should be around 800 - 825 across the board by dec and will cli when I think the time is right. Working on paying off private student loans and this fat mortgage. Income between both of us is approx 230 k , her credit is stellar with no debt besides mortgage. I have student loans and mortgage and that's it - work provides our vehicles and pays insurance etc.

life is good team , keep at the credit repair . This time Last year I was ready to jump off a bridge due to negatives, lack of future , etc. keep after it ! This 5000 from chase told me I finally have conquered the demons . Thank you !

Love this post, it packs honest worry, anxiety and some "what the &^%%#". it's a great feeling when the ship normally navigates downstream all of sudden with some work heads in the opposite direction.
