Long time no post and it's been an incredible month of wins that I thought I'd share today's win.

Quick Story: I decided to apply for the BoA Premium Rewards Elite (PRE) credit card initially but then later decided to apply for the Premium Rewards (PR) credit card.

I opened a Checkings account with BoA for the $200 bank bonus and it went pending but I decided to apply for the PRE in the interim and the application for the card also went pending. Fast forward to this morning, I got news that the Checkings account was approved. I decided to not waste any time and call BoA about the status of my application for the PRE. I was approved after some verification questions and requested for rush delivery. A couple of hours later, I decide to also open the PR and that application also went pending. I quickly called BoA to verify some information and was also approved and requested a rush delivery. Was very fortunate to know the credit limits on the second but I am just happy to be approved at the cost of a singular inquiry. Hopefully this can help others. As always, find my data points below.

Premium Rewards (and the PR Elite) are great cards and I think you'll enjoy them.

Just curious, but did you apply for both mainly for the separate SUBs? There is a lot of overlap and most people end up with just one or the other. I had the original PR and got the Elite a few months ago before closing my PR original.

Thanks @Aim_High! Yes, I applied for many reasons but mainly the SUB, elevated offer, and curious about the redemption of the points to really see if this is a good card for me. So much more reason to have PR Elite for sure and will likely just test the PR out this first year.

Why not product change the PR to a no-annual-fee card like the Travel Rewards or Cash Rewards? Was it an option? I've heard it may not always be an option.

Not an option, at least in my situation, @ultimaterewardsguy357. However, I've heard that BofA can be inconsistent about allowable PCs. I had read online about the PR Elite being interchangeable with original Premium Rewards, Customized Cash Rewards, Unlimited Cash Back, and Travel Rewards. I posted something about that in my approval thread and planned to PC my original PR to a second CCR. I updated my original posting >HERE< when I was told by customer service that PR could only be product changed to a Travel Rewards or PR Elite since they are all "points cards." The CCR and UCR were not options. In my case, there was no benefit to a TR or keeping the PR, so I just closed it while transferring the limit to my new PR Elite. However, they required keeping $200 on the closed card. I imagine they'll give me the $200 back in a future CLI, but so far has been denied, probably due to the recent approval and other credit-seeking activity.
