before applying for target I did freeze TransUnion and experian and was surprised I was approved 500 few days later 200 increase to 700 ...

wondering if any benefit having the MasterCard version 🤔

I was surprised I'm not blacklisted by target considered that I burned them back in 2016 ...

they only pull Equifax Fico score under 600 with 3 buddy by January first would only have one ...

I was approved for a 300 sl Red card in sep/oct 2020 less than a year after I burned TD bank for over 8k in my bk7.

My Red card is now 1600 cl.

I understand the conversion to Mastercard comes after you meet a cl milestone, some have posted 4k some have posted less, ymmv.

I love the Red card, I use it a lot. The thing that stinks about it is cli's are completely up to them, no requests possible.

The MC version maxes at $17000. Access to this higher CL is the one real advantage that I see.

Traditionally, when your store card reaches a CL of $4000, you get converted to the MC.

Target sold their credit card porfolio to TD bank years ago, that could be the reason why you were able to start a new relationship with them,. Target usually will not let you back in once you burn them, but hey, great job getting back in.

Congratulations on the Red card approval. It will grow over time and some day TD Bank will upgrade to the Red Card Mastercard.

It took me years for mine to upgrade from the store card to the MC version. For reference, I did include my Target Visa in my bankruptcy. If I remember correctly when my Red store card reached a CL of $6000 and my FICO jumped up to over 720, my card was converted. Right now the CL is $10,500. I know people that have higher limits.

Whenever your income changes, always update the income increases on the website.
