Redstone FCU Visa Signature Approval - $5k

Threw $20 in a savings account a several months back, ended up getting pre-approved for auto loan/personal loan/visa sig CC/regular CC

Exp Fico 9 was probably around ~770 at the time?

I accepted the offer for the visa signature card.

I accepted the offer, no HP, they sent me documents to electronically sign and that's all I had to do. Didn't ask for any proof of FFA membership. Apperantly they sent me the wrong documents to sign for the non-signature version, so a very nice underwriting? representative called and corrected the issue and provided me the correct documents to sign and was sent the card within 10 days.

I wouldn't personally risk applying without the pre-approval, apperantly people don't have a choice when they apply if they get the signature or not? Not sure how it works now, just what I've been reading.

Support is US based, but isn't as nice and as graceful as Navy Fed/Discover are.

They confirmed I met the spend for the bonus, but I think they're going to wait out the entire 90+45 days in the terms to pay out the bonus.

5% gas/restaurants

3% groceries, discount stores, wholesale clubs, utilities, phone and streaming services

1.5% catch all

cashback is rather quick and easily goes into the savings account which can be moved out at any time

I would 100% make an account here and wait for pre-approvals to populate for you if you're willing to risk the Visa Signature getting nerfed sometime in the future. Hoping for another AOD situation where if there's nerfs, people who already have it get to keep it.

the google wallet/apple wallet image for the card is horrid with the vertical image of the card on the right side, are all vertical cards like this?

reasonably competetive pre-approval offers are still up for me as well

Took a look at the CC seems good as long as 1 point is 1 cent do you know if it in fact is??

points are .5c/point and you get 10x points/dollar on the 5% restaurant/gas categories, 6x points/dollar on the 3% categories and 3x points/dollar on the 1.5% categories

so the percentages are all still correct, even if the points are a little janky

on a $17 restaurant purchase, got:

170 points = 85 cents

$17 * 5% = 85 cents

so the 5% works

Do you mind sharing what your dept to income ratio was when you received the offer from Redstone FCU? Are you absolutly sure there was no HP? Have you checked the big three CRAs since your approval?

no debt reporting on the credit report, other than a $50 monthly payment on a $3k SSL paid down over 90% already

so very low debt to income based pretty much only on rent amount

yeah, no HP for accepting one of the pre-approved offers

they didn't even SP when I took the offer, they just used the account review SP on file from before
