U.S. Bank Platinum Approved!!

I kept calling their 800 number to check status and the automated message said "Congratulations. You have been approved." So I'll be receiving more info within 10 business days! What I don't know if the SL!

I got the congratulatory e-mail....

Your card will arrive by mail in about 7 days. Be sure to activate it – that will boost your card’s credit line to $500.

So my CL is $500! Not much balance transferring will go on here but getting approved works for me!

So how can I get this puppy to grow?

Grats on the approval, you are in the door with them now!

To bad about the CL. I feel like if a lender is going to approve someone for a card that is built for BTs, and has limited use for anything else, they should at least give enough of a limit to make it fit for purpose...

I was so certain that I was going to be declined so I'm very happy that I heard "Congratulations!" As far as the $500 CL is concerned, I'm hoping for growth even though initial usage will be quite limited. Probably 1 or 2 gas tank fill-ups a month!

Congrats on the approval and yes, as others mention, hopefully, the limit will grow.

I've been getting letters every few weeks for the U.S. Bank Platinum, and a banker I spoke with on the phone even mentioned it to me. I'm at 2/12 but also 11/24, so I'd be surprised if I got approved for any U.S. Bank card. I'd probably collapse in shock if they approved me for anything more than their common $500 toy limit.

As much as I enjoy getting approved for new credit cards, I'd like to avoid an unnecessary ER visit even more.
