Approved for the Savor One with a $1000 CL

So I wasn't going to apply for another card until the year was up(have 5 months to go) but my friends told me that the Savor One gives 10% cash back on Uber and UberEats up until mid November 2024.

I use UberEats a lot plus Uber so I felt like the amount of cash back I would get starting now would make it worth it. I didn't want to wait until the very end of this promotion in case it doesn't renew.

So I checked the preapproval Cap1 site and had Quicksilver good credit, Savor One good credit and a Platinum lol.

I upgraded my bucketed Platinum to a Quicksilver 2 1/2 months ago and the Savor One seems to be a very popular card that a lot of people like.

The only thing I was worried about was what credit limit I would get. My FICO 8 Experian score showed me 726 and my utilization is showing 3% on my reports.

I took the plunge and it approved me with a $1000 CL. Look after getting $300 from the bucketed Platinum and after 6 months only getting a $100 CLI, I think $1000 is good for me. Only 7 months into my journey. I'm gonna put a lot of spend on the card and hopefully get a better CL in 6 months.

Do you guys think this Savor One is bucketed based on the starting limit I got? I hope not but I still worry a little.

Anyways just wanted to share, I'm pretty happy because I was worried I would get a $500 CL lol. And it told me my FICO score was 699 from Experian so it looks like Cap1 used a couple week old credit report. Oh well.

Cap1 is weird overall. I got approved for a $1000 CL on the SavorOne, and I have average limits of 30-50K, and FICO scores in the high 700s across all 3 bureaus.

If you fit their profile, they love you, but if you fall slightly outside of that, they love even more to bucket you.

you say you upgraded the platinum?

how did you get them to do that.
they have been sending me pre approved emails and letters for a QS card for 18 months now

every few months I call them and try to pc my platinum into a QS

every time they tell me I'm preapproved to open a new QS card but can't upgrade the platinum

I got the Platinum in mid September 2023 as my 1st card with a $300 CL. I didn't even know the card was eligible to be upgraded until I called Cap1 at the end of January 2024 about an unrelated topic.

The supervisor told me I am eligible to upgrade the Platinum to a Quicksilver so I said yes. She told me it was available to do a month earlier too lol.

She was surprised I was able to upgrade the card in only 3-4 months of having it but she was happy for me.

I'm surprised you can't upgrade your Platinum in all this time. That's strange.

I know. I promise no more cards for at least a year or more. I have all I need and gonna use them and try and get better CLI's in the future. The 10% cash back for Uber/UberEats for me was too good to pass up. And I got a virtual card to use right away until my card gets in the mail.

Same for me! I need to wait until April next year at least to be under 4/12 and then October 2025 to be under 5/24. I doubt I'll make it 😂

Can anyone please give me a straight answer do you guys think this particular Savor One card is bucketed? My limit is much higher than my Platinum was. That was $300, this Savor One is $1000.

I'm hoping the CLI's when they come will be much bigger than $100.

@MikeyMagicCongrats on the approval. At $1000 it definitely could be, but it's too early to tell imo. In any case, I tend to think with so many accounts and inquiries early on that may have limited your starting limit.
