Shocking Venmo Credit Card Approval

Hello all,

I took a chance and applied for the Venmo Credit Card. I am one payment away from completing my chapter 13. I kept getting invites to apply for the Venmo CC and decided WTH since it's a soft pull. I didn't expect an approval, since synchrony has paid me dust since I was in an active bankruptcy. I applied once a few years ago at an auto body shop when I was repairing my car and never tried again.

I was approved for....wait for it...11k 🤯🥳

This is my highest credit limit to date. I hovered around $3500 after a few of my cards grew from $1000. I'm elated! I use Venmo often as my daughters (both in college) are always asking me to send money. I'm in the garden for now. My goal card is an Amex, and I'm waiting patiently for that 61 month post file date to apply in August. I want a nice travel card.

current scores as of 6/17

TU: 670

EQ: 697 (had a 3 point increase yesterday. Not sure as to why, but I'm not complaining.

That's a righteous sl! Right now until Dec 2023 (I think) there's no 3% fee for using it through the app either. Enjoy and congrats!

Oh and since your goal card is Amex make sure it's one that qualifies for Send & Split. That way you avoid the fee's on Venmo and Paypal too. Generally the amt. is up to $2k/month. Again, enjoy!

Platinum is $5k I think...but ....the AF....is....yucky.

@GApeachy Which Amex is this "send and split" you're referring to? I will google what that feature is about but the more accurate info on card names etc comes right from here thanks to all of you.
