interesting experience I want to share.

Burned Amex in bankruptcy before, 5-6 years ago.

When I do Amex prequals on their site, I never get the approval for the obvious reason that I defaulted on their accounts previously.

This week I found out that there is the Corporate Advantage program that gives a personal credit through the corporate green card my company provides me. When I used the links from the Corporate Advantage program to apply rather than through the normal website, I was approved. Very interesting! Wanted to share datapoints for others who have burned in the past but have a corporate card from their company that qualifies.

I was in the same situation last year. I applied for AMEX through the Corporate Advantage program and was approved for an AMEX Platinum AMEX Platinum Approved - Post CH 7 Fast forward over the year I would try to apply for other cards and was denied due to previous relationship. Today, I seen you were able to get approved for both Platinum and Gold (Congrats by the way) and I said let me try again. I used the Corporate Advantage link and was approved for the Gold Card with $17k POT and also the Blue Cash Preferred with $10k. Thank you for this post. If I wouldn't have seen this, I would not have tried again.

Congrats! It seems they ignore the previous bankruptcy if you apply through the corporate advantage link. The one downside seems to be that you can't get the elevated signup bonuses through the corporate advantage link. I suppose that's the price to pay for prior bankruptcy! I'm thankful I can hold these cards as the prior bankruptcy doesn't allow me to get any of the premium travel and rewards cards any other way.

Do you not get any bonus/SUB? Also, do you need to be working at a corporation to apply for all these thru its link, right?

Yes, you need to be working at a company that has the corporate card program, hold the corporate card personally, and the program needs to be eligible for the Corporate Advantage Program. There is a signup bonus through these links, but only the standard SUB, not the elevated SUB that you can find elsewhere.

I wonder how much of it is the Corporate Advantage Program or perhaps AMEX is just in a more forgiving mood lately. I was approved a few weeks back after burning them 8 years ago (not a bankrupcy but a charge off). It used to be if you burned AMEX you had a decade or two before you were let back in unless you paid them back.

How much of the amount you burned off? And, which card did you get first when they got you in?
