Cap One BJs Approval

The other day, I received a mailer from Cap One for BJs saying I was pre-qualified for the MC. I wasn't planning on applying for it because I figured I would end up with a $500 CL. I went to BJs website today to look at something and got a pop-up with the pre-qual info etc. I figured, what the heck? Let me dance with the Cap One devil and see what I get. Cap One came through with $2000 CL and the worst interest rate they offer on that card.

Typical hard pull on each report

Scores: TU: 639 EX: 650 EQ: 675

AAoA: 5 years (lost age when all the AU accounts were removed from my report and accounts aged off)

Inq: 0

Util: 1%

Open accounts: 11 credit cards

Bad stuff: I have 22 open and closed accounts with a 30-day late for the month of Aug 2023, when my wife passed. No bank or CU has been willing to budge on removing them, saying it has to be reported correctly.
