Venture One 2 HPs and 2nd approval under 6 months

My P2 recently got approved for the Venture X so it has been a great combo with my Savor One. Earning has been great and easy cash back transfer from the Savor One to the Venture X. However, when I went to transfer Lifemiles to my FF account it would not allow me since miles can only be transferred directly to the primary card holders frequent flyer account. A bit annoying because I was trying to receive the Lifemiles elite status accural from the miles transfer. I went ahead still transferred the miles to my P2's FF and made a redemption.

Fast foward, and I had to cancel the redemption and it was a lot more of hassle since it was not booked with my FF account. So had me thinking of other options. I noticed I had a preapproval for the Venture One with no annual fee. It was exactly a few days past the 3 month mark since I was approved for the Savor One. So I was a bit skeptical about if I would actually be approved since there are many data points that you can only be approved for 1 capital card every 6 months.

Before accepting the preapproval, I called Capital One to confirm whether I can transfer Venture Miles from my P2's Venture X to my Venture One and the rep confirmed, yes but the primary account holder would need to call in with my Venture One card number to process the transfer. So that was great news.

I have read some folks having success locking their Experian reports and still getting approved for Venture cards. So I locked my EX and applied and was approved for the "Good Credit" with a small limit of $500. The limit is fine since the card will only be used to transfer miles into. I only received 2 hard pulls, TU and EQ reports.
