Synchrony- Care Credit MC Approved

Applied and approved for 17K Mastercard. Had to call in and do some strange verification where they ask me a few questions and sent a text. Placed me on hold for about a minute and then came back on the line and said congratulations

You can apply straight for the mastercard version now? Congrats on the approv al but last I knew was only for the store card that might in years and years if ever be converted into mastercard version.

edit: seeing they appeared to have changed it for either version assuming it is based off a persons credit. Certainly would be more useful in the MC version other than ocassional vet or medical needs. Edit did the pre-qual and got pre-qualifed for the mastercard as well.. Something to think about as well in the future. Thanks for the information for myself and others.

@CreditCuriosity When you apply unfortunately they don't let you pick which version of the card you want. The rep stated that you will be considered for both at time of application and if you don't qualify for the MC version you'll be offered the regular care credit card.

Agreed that is how all Sync cards works but new for the carecredit mastercard version as it use to be store card then maybe in 5-10 years you would be considered. As mentioned I was just pre-qualified for the Master card version and clearly said that granted 820 TU score. Have other cards on radar that want first but certainly might pick this up in the future after another 3 months vacation from credit cards to get a few that i want first and waiting for a year without any new CC accounts.

Yes the MC for them has changed, but the drop in AC hasn't.

My daughter had the store card for about a year... then they just sent her the MC this week and she didnt ask for it.. it was a "congrats, you got a new card upgrade" and the mc was enclosed.

But on the other end, my Mom has had the MC for a while... her balance was 0 with no use for like 6 months and they dropped her limit to 600 from 1023. Not sure what it started at but I think around 6000 to start, her score is 737 but they seem to keep dropping it when not used. Then she used it again, and while paying that, she did an increase request on the site and she asked for like 4000 and got it immediatley. Then she used it last July 2024 for around 1000. To keep a high AB it wants use AND a balance from what I see. She likes to pay in full but has paid it slower and now it hasnt been used it in 9 mos and its bal is like 270... and they just dropped her Avail to 300 Good thing she doesn't really need it for anything.
